Mildred M.’Milly’ Lunz, 95, of Cincinnati, formerly of New Bremen and rural Wapakoneta, died at 6:24 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at Brookdale Kenwood Assisted Living, Cincinnati. She was born Aug. 22, 1926, in Auglaize County, the daughter of the late William A. and Emma (Metz) Roode. On June 14, 1945, she married Leonard F. Lunz, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2001.

Survivors include four children: Byron (Debby) Lunz of Beaverton, Oregon, Linda (Terrydec) Quinn of Powell, Ohio, Gary (Melanie) Lunz of Fort Collins, Colorado and Dr. Steven (Rhonda) Lunz of Cincinnati; six grandchild­ren; nine great-grandchild­ren; two sisters: Doris (Maurice-dec) Naseman of Botkins and Mary (Max-dec) Kreglow of Quincy, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and spouses Erma (John) Davis and Betty (Harry) Dober.

Milly worked 17 years as a postal clerk with the United States Postal Service in Minster. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pusheta Road, Wapakoneta. Milly was a 1944 graduate of the Botkins High School and was class valedictor­ian. Along with her husband, Leonard, she enjoyed living in Florida. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 4, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pusheta Road, with Pastor Kurt Klingbeil officiatin­g. Burial is to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 10 a.m. until time of the service, Monday at the church. Memorial contributi­ons may be directed to the St. John’s Lutheran Church.
