St. Marys Police Department

The St. Marys Police Departmen responded to the following incidents from Sept. 19 to Sept. 23.

Sept. 19

• At 4:35 p.m., police were called to the South Street Parking Lot after a private property crash was reported in the area.

Sept. 20

• At 12:07 a.m., the SMPD was called to State Route 66, where they arrested a woman for operating a vehicle while intoxicate­d.

• At 3:30 a.m., officers were called to the 700 block of Gordon Grove to investigat­e a report of an assault complaint in the area.

Sept. 21

• At 9:52 a.m., the police arrested Joseph Jones on outstandin­g warrants at the 300 block of Webb Street.

• At 1:30 p.m., a criminal damaging complaint was reported to police at the 300 block of South Vine Street.

• At 2:17 p.m., police received reports of a telecommun­ications harassment complaint at the 500 block of Normandy Drive.

• At 2:48 p.m., a welfare check was conducted by police at the 1100 block of McKinley Road after an individual started making suicidal comments.

• At 5:05 p.m., David Wiegel was arrested by the SMPD at the 300 block of South Park Drive in relation to warrants sent out by Miami County.

• At 10:14 p.m., officers responded to call on the 1300 block of Indiana Avenue after a male refused to pay for gas.

Sept. 22

• At 7:32 a.m., a theft complaint was reported to police at the 100 block of East High Street.

• At 12:56 p.m., an accident occurred at the intersecti­on of Spruce Street and High Street after a vehicle ran a red light, colliding with another vehicle.

Sept. 23

• At 7:17 a.m., an accident occurred on Spruce Street after a vehicle was rear ended by another while slowing down for stopped traffic.

• At 12:19 p.m., the SMPD arrested Ryan Sanning in relation to an arrest warrant on North Spruce Street.

• At 2:02 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted by police on West South Street, where Joshua Cox was arrested on the offense of improperly handling a firearm.
