Frank’s Forecast

- By MIKE FRANK Sports Editor

Welcome back, Mr. Kotter (and all you other faithful readers).

As we flip the calendar page over to November, I continue to plug away at this little exercise.

Last week, I did great in high school games, good in college and the NFL decided to teach me a lesson. For the week, I landed at 12-8, which I will take. My season record is now 123-57.

Plenty of high school teams are still alive, so that should help my picking percentage a bit.

Time to strap on the gloves for round 12:

HIGH SCHOOL

Chaminade-Julienee (4-5) at St. Marys — Roughriders ran all over Franklin last week. This week, they get to enjoy the comforts of home one more time before things switch to neutral sites. Pass defense will need to be sharp for this one, based on the stats…..ST. MARYS by 14

Wapakoneta (9-2) at Bellbrook (9-2) — Redskins hit the road to take on the #3 seed. Bellbrook put up 50 last week to dispose of TrotwoodMadison. Wapakoneta can rack up points, but not sure they have quite enough firepower….. BELLBROOK by 10

Shawnee (7-4) at Badin (10-0) — Winner of this gets the winner of St. Marys and C-J. End of the road for the Indians…..BADIN by 17

New Bremen (8-3) at Tri-Village (10-1) — Both teams had an easy time in the opening round. The Patriots added football in 2015. Seems they have put together a pretty decent squad….TRI-VILLAGE by 10

Fort Loramie (5-6) at Marion Local (11-0) — Another set of Redskins that has had a strong outing the past couple of weeks. But I’m not betting against the Flyers, not yet…..MARION LOCAL by 14

——— COLLEGE

#6 Ohio State (7-1) at Nebraska (3-6) — Buckeyes ground out a win last week. Huskers have been close all year. OSU needs to roll in this one to move up in the playoff rankings…. OHIO STATE

#5 Michigan State (8-0) at Purdue (5-3) — The Buckeyes’ next two opponents meet in West Lafayette. Spartans will be on guard against the upset….MICHIGAN STATE

Tulsa (3-5) at Cincinnati (8-0) — Bearcats got HOSED by the committee. Alabama has no business being in the top four at this point. They’ll take out the frustrations on the Hurricane…… CINCINNATI

LSU (4-4) at #3 Alabama (7-1) — I don’t care if it’s unlikely. Geaux Tigers….LSU –––––––––––––––
