Track and field teams compete at area meets

Area track and field teams were in action on Tuesday at multiple locations.

The St. Marys contingent competed in a tri-meet with Celina and Shawnee, with the Bulldogs as host.

Minster played host to teams from Bath, Sidney, Allen East and Lima Central Catholic.

New Bremen and New Knoxville ran at Anna along with Fort Loramie, Fort Recovery and Marion Local.

CELINA — The Celina boys had 71 points, Shawnee had 69 and St. Marys scored 35. For the girls, Celina had 104 points, St. Marys got 44 1/2 and Shawnee had 26 1/2.

BOYS

Brandon Bowers won the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.34 seconds.

Braeden Hemmelgarn was second in the 200m dash (23.48) and took third in the 100 (11.41).

In the 1600, Tyler Birt finished fourth (4:53.23).

Seth Brandt was third (2:13.99) and Birt fourth (2:16.29) in the 800.

In the 3200, David Wermuth finished fourth (11:28.46).

Bowers, Cole Hughes, Hemmelgarn and Wermuth combined to win the 4x400 relay (3:42.40).

In field events, Hemmelgarn won the long jump with a distance of 18 feet, 11 inches.

Dylan Giesige was third in discus (124-4).

In the shot put, Ross Henschen was third (39-10 1/2) and Zavier LeClair-Johnson was fourth (39-1).

Isaac Torsell finished third in pole vault (106).

GIRLS

Syerra Greber took first place in the 100m dash (13.08).

She was third in the 200 (27.47).

In the 800m run, Maria Jutte crossed the line first in 2:29.55. Karlie Lucas was fifth (2:50.84).

Leah Brackman was second in the 400m dash (1:10.32) and Krista Ruppert finished fifth (1:13.15).

Ellen Scholemer was fifth in the 1600m run (5:51.55).

Ella Jacobs took fourth in the 300m hurdles (52.98).

In the 100m hurdles, Jewel Niekamp (18.05) was fifth and Gabby Keller (18.48) was sixth.

Maria Jutte, Gracelyn Johns, Ellen Schloemer and Emma Freewalt won the 4x100m relay in 4:20.58.

The 4x800 relay of Amelia Ankerman, Ellen Schloemer, Jutte and Karlie Lucas took first place with a time of 9:45.

In field events, Ella Jacobs took first (4-10) and Reghan Puthoff second (4-8) in the high jump, with Krista Ruppert (4-6) tied for fifth.

Megan Young was third (8-0) and Kera Dorsten fifth (7-6) in the pole vault.

Ankerman was third in long jump (14-5).

Kaci Anthony placed second in shot put (31-5 1/4) and fifth in the discus (81-1).

Shalynn Liette was fourth in the shot put (29-6).

MINSTER — Both Minster teams finished first in the team standings. The boys had 175 1/2 points, with Bath second at 60 1/2. The Lady Wildcats scored 198 points, with Bath second there as well, with 62.

BOYS

The Wildcats had the first five runners across the line in the 400 meter dash. Lucas Thibeau was first in 55.81 seconds. He was followed by Alex Westerheid­e (56.04), Russell Heid (57.93), Will Knapke (58.76) and Caleb Kies (59.46).

Alex Albers (2:04.67), Noah Walter (2:14.43) and Matthew Niekamp (2:15.33) had first, second and third in the 800m run.

In the 3200m, the

first three were Jack Grieshop (10:18.32), Ryan Halpin (10:55.40) and Carter Dircksen (11:50.80).

Jack Kohne took first in the 100m (11.29) and also won the 200m (22.84).

Alex Albers won the 1600 with a time of 4:44.65.

John Keller was fifth in the 100 (12.25). Nathan Webb was fourth in the 200 (24.23).

In the 110m hurdles, Joseph Slonkosky was first (15.89), followed by Bo Dwenger in second (16.76) and Zach Westerheid­e in fourth (18.02).

Slonkosky also won the 300m hurdles (42.43).

For field events, Noah Piipari was first and Nathan Webb second in high jump. Both cleared the bar at 5-feet-8.

Tristan McDaniel was first (141-9) and Charlie Schmiesing second (138-8) in the discus.

In pole vault, Heid was second (12-6) and Lucas Stammen third (11-6), with Dillon Watercutte­r fifth (9-6).

Dwenger was third (18-7 1/2) and Kies fifth (18-3) in the long jump.

Alex Frimel placed third in the shot put (4310) and Noah Pleiman was fifth (41-10 1/4).

GIRLS

Lilly Barhorst (1:04.72), Keri Heckman (1:05.79) and Ava Grieshop (1:05.80) swept the top three spots in the 400m dash.

Morgan Ketner (2:33.90) and Stammen (2:42.49) were first and second in the 800, with Riley Billilngs fifth (2:47.77).

Ava Stammen was first (6:00.81) and Rachel Niekamp second (6:15.69) in the 1600m run, with Lexi Hanson fifth (6:35.88).

Katie McClurg won the 110m hurdles (17.07), with Sophia Werling third (18.10) and Lexi Niemeyer fourth (18.23).

In the 300m hurdles, Werling came in second (52.79), Cadence Bergman (53.89) third and McClurg (55.45) was fifth.

Liz Trzaska was second (13:40.50) and Mallory Pfeil fourth (15:06.77) in the 3200.

Kylie Williams finished second in the 200 (27.80).

Macy Prenger was fifth in the 100m dash (13.57).

In field events, Kayla Lamm was first (4-10), Megan Fortman second (4-8) and Lydia Bornhorst fifth (4-6) in the high jump.

Barhorst won the discus (97-3) and Jocelyn Kies took second (891). Rachel Niekamp was fifth (74-10). Barhorst also took top honors in the shot put (37-6 3/4).

Ashlyn Homan was second in the pole vault (8-0).

In the long jump, Werling (15-4 3/4) was second, and Lamm and Margaret Hirschfeld tied for third (15-2).

ANNA — New Bremen and New Knoxville joined several others in a mini-invitation­al at Anna.

The New Bremen boys scored 84 points and the Rangers had 23. For the girls, New Knoxville had 32 points and the Lady Cardinals scored 20. Anna was team champ on both sides, with 166.5 points for the boys and 171 for the girls.

NEW BREMEN BOYS

Patrick Bernhold was third in the 400 (54.81) and Dylan Bambauer placed eighth (58.48).

Bernhold finished sixth in the 200 (25.24).

Zach Wiedeman took fourth in the 1600 (4:50.97) and Gavin Spragg was seventh (5:28.16).

Spragg was fourth in the 800 (2:34.33) and Aiden Grant was ninth (2:48.09).

Cole Powers was third (11:27.51) and Dominic Shroyer fourth (11:34.87) in the 3200.

In the 110m hurdles, Noah Kelly was fourth (21.43), Dylan Kremer sixth (22.35) and Tyler Krieg eighth (23.26). Troy Homan was eighth in the 300 hurdles (51.19).

Brett Schaefer was fifth in the 100m dash (12.37). Haden Zeller (12.82) and Kai Easthan (12.86) were eighth and ninth.

In relay events, the Cardinals were fourth in the 4x100 (49.21) third in the 4x200 (1:47.66), second in the 4x400 (4:16.12) and second in the 4x800 (9:41.76).

Mason Kuck was the winner of the discus with a throw of 130 feet, 6 inches.

Caden Puthoff was second (40-7 3/4) and Kuck third (39-8 1/4) in the shot put.

Jonathan Rodriquez was sixth (97-2) and Grant Wilker 10th (935).

In the high jump, Alex Homan and Aaron Poeppelman tied for seventh (4-11).

Bambauer was sixth in the long jump (16-10

1/2). GIRLS

Molly Dues was fourth in the 1600m run (6:05.74).

Caroline Whitlach finished fifth in the 400m dash (1:07.10) and Molly Dues was ninth (1:11.16).

Chloe Homan took third in the 3200m run (12:15.14).

Lily Rindler was eighth in the 300m hurdles (57.60) and 10th in the 100m hurdles (21.90).

New Bremen was fourth in the 4x200m relay (2:04.12). They did not run in the others.

Chloe Bornhorst was 10th in the discus (7210).

Rindler finished eighth in the high jump (4-0) and seventh in the long jump (13-3).

In shot put, Bornhorst was fifth (29-11 3/4) and Elizabeth Garman (29-4) sixth.

Brooklyn Kremer was sixth in the pole vault (7-0).

NEW KNOXVILLE Caroline Leffel took third in the 400m dash (1:04.90) and fourth in the 200 (28.73).

Melisa Waterman was sixth in the 100m hurdles (18.73)

Brynn Egbert was sixth in the 200 (29;07) and eighth in the 100 (14.30).

In field events, Avery Henschen finished second in the discus (1213) and Ally Topp was fifth (83-4). Topp finished fourth in shot put (30-7 3/4).

Waterman was third in high jump (4-8).

For the boys, Ashton McMurray took first in the 400m dash (54.11) and was third in both the 100m dash (12.09) and 200m (24.28).

Noah Holland was 10th in the 1600m run (5:41.61), Kaleb Putman was 12th (5:46.93) and Elijah Lammers 14th (5:59.82).

Putman was sixth (2:40.01) and Holland seventh (2:40.58) in the 800.

Josh Fledderjoh­ann was 12th in the 400 (1:03.66).

For field events, McMurray was eighth in long jump (16-9 1/2). Xander Roby was 14th (15-1 3/4).

Jay Waterman was 12th in the discus (914).
