Gary Granger, 79

Gary Granger, 79, of St. Marys, died at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in the Emergency Department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 31, 1942, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Chester and Ethel (Montague) Granger.

He married Marilyn Geren on Nov. 24, 1971, and she survives in St. Marys.

He is also survived by his daughters: Shelley (Ernie) Wolfe of Columbus and Sherrie (David) Voisard of St. Marys.

He is survived by his seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; also by three sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a daughter, Cathy Granger and by one brother.

Gary was a graduate of Parkway High School and the Ft. Wayne Business College. He and his wife lived in Ft. Wayne for many years and he retired from International Harvester in Ft. Wayne. He later worked at Ft. Wayne Harley Davidson.

He was Methodist by faith, and he loved motorcycles and traveling in his RV.

Funeral rites will be held at noon Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Rev. Tim Benjamin, officiant. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be made to the Kidney Foundation and Auglaize County Council on Aging.
