Steven L. Knapke, 49, of Maria Stein, died on Friday, May 6, 2022 in Maria Stein, Ohio. He was born on April 27, 1973 in Coldwater, to the Late Louis Knapke and Mary Jane (Fleckenstein) Knapke and she survives in Maria Stein. He is also survived by daughter: Kylie Knapke and Ian Moorman and their children Kamden and Lilly Moorman, all of St. Marys, son Garret Knapke of St. Marys, partner Ami Mohr of Maria Stein and her children Mackinze and Luke Cron and their son Chester of Convoy, Ohio, Mackaid Beery of Rockford; brothers and sisters: Dr. Leah and Brent Avera of Centerville, Jeff Knapke and Annie Saintignon of Maria Stein, Laura and Tom Feltz of St. Henry, Daniel and Amy Knapke of Piqua, Mark and Stephanie Knapke of Centerville and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Maria Stein, a graduate of Marion Local High School and Wright State Branch Campus. He was also a member of Celina Moose and Versailles Eagles. He was a manager for Sunrise PCT Corp fertilizer plant and was a former employee at Bomholt and Sons in St. Rose and Huelsman Automotive in Chickasaw. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and snowmobile and was a friend to everyone. He always enjoyed an “adult beverage” with friends. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022 and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
