Elementary students tour theater
The Friends of St. Marys Theater and Grand Opera House gave tours to first and second graders on May 17 and May 18, showing them the auditorium and letting them watch a short movie or cartoon on the big screen. Group organizer Doug Spencer told them a little about the project that they’re doing and how they plan on waking up the “Sleeping Beauty” that is the St. Marys Theater.
The event included a showing of the presentation video to the students to show what they should expect to see in the theater in the future, as well as a quick show involving Topper and Eugene the puppet.
