Janet Highley, 76

Janet L. Highley, 76, of Minster, Ohio, died 9:39 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus.

She was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of Roy and Dorothy (Brown) Marsee.

She is survived by her sons: Todd (Laura) Highley of St. Marys; Troy Highley of Celina; by her four grandchildren: Spencer (Haley Hammon) Highley; Blaze (Emma Boomershine) Highley; T.J. Highley; Faithlynn Highley. She is survived by her siblings Robert Marsee and family of Mystic, Connecticut; DeWayne (Billie) Marsee of St. Marys; Roy (Barbara) Richards of Nottingham, England.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her sister, Sue Sauve.

Janet was a 1964 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a graduate of the Fort Wayne Business College. She retired from Parker Hannifin Corporation, where for many years she worked in customer service. She was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys. Janet was a very caring person. She took care of her parents until their deaths, and her grandchildren were her life.

Funeral rites will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, St. Marys, Pastor Tim Benjamin, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call noon until the time of services at the funeral home on Sunday, where memorial gifts may be given to Agape Ministries in St. Marys. Condolences may be sent to Janet’s family via MillerFuneralHomes.net.
