A lawn with a close shave, a bath remodel gone wrong, and the case of the missing rough-ins.
While I was out of town, my wife took a turn mowing the lawn. When we talked on the phone that night, she said the mower engine had died about a dozen times. That surprised me because I’d never had any trouble with it. When I got home and saw the lawn, I knew what the problem was. A look at the mower confirmed it. I always kept the wheels at the highest setting. My wife had run the mower into a landscaping rock, knocking a rear wheel down to its lowest setting. This caused the blade to drag on the ground on one side, repeatedly killing the engine. Every pass of the mower gave the lawn a nice “cultivated” look.
