REINFORCE YOUR PHONE CORD

Phone cords tend to wear out where the cord enters the plug end. To reinforce my cords, I slide a bit of heat-shrink tubing over the weak spot. Hold the cord with pliers and wave a lighter under the tubing. The tubing shrinks around the cord and plug end, making the junction more durable. CHRIS HANSON
