Li-ion Battery Recycling

I’m a little embarrassed to admit that in all the years I’ve been using battery-powered tools, I’ve never noticed the fine print on the batteries. On virtually every tool battery, there’s a number to call to find out where to take it for recycling: (800) 822-8837.

I can finally exhume my old, dead tool batteries from their crypt (a cardboard box in the garage) and responsibly dispose of them! The prehistoric nicad variety can be recycled as well. Some home centers offer battery recycling; just drop them off on your next trip.
