Roberto Castillo, 67 of Fort Morgan, CO died Wednesday morning, October 20, 2021 at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, CO.

Roberto was born on March 1, 1954 in Donna, TX to Benito and Julia ( Perez Martinez) Castillo. He moved to Fort Morgan, CO in

1972 and married Sarah Diaz on July 28, 1973. He was a ver y family- oriented man.

His mother and siblings later reunited with him in Fort Morgan where many successes bloomed.

He worked in the manufactur­ing industry, which included the American Beef Plant, Empire Dairy, Western Sugar Factory, and RE- 3 School District, where he retired as his health was beginning to decline.

Roberto had a great sense of humor, he liked to joke around and laugh and loved listening to Spanish music and dance. He was a man who enjoyed helping where he could. He was a cook who would make many dishes out of leftovers. His favorite dishes to make were menudo and capirotada. He also had the pleasure of growing his own vegetables. Overall, he was a great man who is deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah; their four children,

Lenore Martinez of Longmont, CO, Ben Castillo of Sterling, CO, Letisha Castillo of Lubbock, TX, and

Alburt Castillo of Fort Morgan, CO; his three brothers Raul, Ramiro and Raymundo Castillo and five sisters, Marta Mendez, Graciela Castillo, Lucy Palma, Fidela Estrada, and Oralia Lopez, all of Fort Morgan, CO; 13 grandchild­ren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the US and also in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Roberto is preceded in death by both his parents, and three younger sisters, Estela Blanca, Estela, and Fermina Castillo.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 28th at Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan from 4- 6pm, rosary will follow. Mass of

Christian Burial will be at 10: 30am Friday, October 29th at St. Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
