“HOUSE OF CARDS: SEASON SIX”

The Fresno Bee (Sunday) - - On Tv -

The Netflix drama – which did a lot to put original streaming series offering full seasons at a time on the map – concludes as Claire Underwood (Robin Wright, also an executive producer and the director of the final episode) faces mounting challenges to her position as the first female U.S. president, having succeeded her husband Frank (absent here, as is his portrayer Kevin Spacey, for plot reasons that are explained) in the office. Especially troublesome are two siblings (Diane Lane, Greg Kinnear) who try to manipulate Claire, then scheme to engineer her downfall. Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Campbell Scott and Patricia Clarkson are among others who return to wrap up their roles. (Not rated: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray)
