Saints: Two people familiar with the decision say New Orleans Saints Pro Bowl center and offensive captain Max Unger is retiring after 10 NFL seasons. The 32-year-old Unger has been New Orleans’ starting center for the past four seasons after spending his first six NFL seasons out of Oregon with Seattle.
Broncos: Denver is bringing back defensive lineman Zach Kerr on a twoyear deal. Kerr played in 27 games for the Broncos over the last two seasons. He had 52 tackles and two sacks.
The 6-foot-2, 334pound Kerr said he drew interest in free agency from teams in the AFC North and NFC West, but in the end it “made sense for me to stay here from a football standpoint, financial standpoint.” Falcons: Tight end Logan Paulsen agreed to terms with the Falcons on Saturday, according to the team. Paulsen will go along with blocking tight end Luke Stocker, who also signed in free agency. Paulsen played in 15 games for the Falcons last season, including one start. He caught all nine of his targets for 91 yards and one touchdown. Cardinals: Arizona added another piece to its rebuilt offensive line, signing Max Garcia to a one-year contract. The 27-year-old Garcia is coming off a torn ACL suffered in practice last November. He’s expected to provide depth behind starting guards Justin Pugh and J.R. Sweezy if he recovers from the injury and makes the team.
