A mother and young daughter who were killed Saturday in a foothill crash in Fresno County have been identified.

Officers responded to Highway 168 and Vineyard Lane near Prather around 9:50 a.m. for a crash involving two vehicles, with at least one of the vehicles turned on its side.

CHP spokesman Victor Taylor said two females — a woman and a juvenile — were pronounced dead at the scene and another child was flown to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Hours later, the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office released the names of the two killed.

They are Laci Wilson, 29, and her 8-year-old daughter Reagan Wilson. Wilson’s 4-year-old son was in critical condition at the hospital.

According to the sheriff’s office, the family lives in Prather. Wilson’s husband and their 7-year-old son were not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

According to Taylor, Wilson and her children were traveling west on Highway 168 inside a 2007 GMC Yukon. Wilson’s vehicle suddenly veered to the right against an embankment, which caused the vehicle to slide on its left side.

As the Yukon slid, it crossed over into the opposite lane and crashed into a 2019 Ford F150. The Ford hit the front window and roof portion of the Yukon.

A 58-year-old woman was driving alone in the Ford . She suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital, according to the CHP.

Taylor said the victims were wearing seat belts. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes were shut down.
