Hammer calls out Marvel chief for backing Trump
Armie Hammer is hinting at a Thanos-sized uprising.
Piggybacking on the recent backlash against Equinox and SoulCycle, the “Hotel Mumbai” actor on Friday somewhat suggested a similar ban against Marvel Entertainment because of its chairman’s financial support of President Donald Trump.
“Hey, while everyone seems to be on this Equinox thing, it might be a good time to mention that one of Trump’s largest financial contributors is the chairman of Marvel Entertainment (Isaac Perlmutter)….. jussayin,” Hammer tweeted.
Perlmutter and his wife, Laura, are longtime supporters of Trump, according to Indiewire.com.
Isaac Perlmutter donated $1 million to Trump’s wounded veterans initiative during Trump’s presidential run in 2016, according to the outlet. He has been described as the president’s “Mar-a-Lago pal and Department of Veterans Affairs adviser.” Laura Perlmutter served on Trump’s Inauguration committee.
