Prosecutors in Tampa, Florida have dropped misdemeanor charges of domestic battery against “Clueless” star-turned conservative pundit Stacey Dash, who was arrested last week after an argument with her fourth husband, attorney Jeffrey Marty.

The Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney’s Office concluded that there was “not a criminal offense to prosecute,” Assistant State Attorney Bryan Sarabia told the Tampa Bay Times.

Marty, whom Dash secretly married in April 2018, celebrated the news on Twitter, writing: “Today, the State Attorney made the right call by declining to file charges against my wife, @staceydash. She was arrested over my objection at the time, but due to the pending investigation, I waited to comment until now. We both look forward to getting this behind us.”

The Tampa Bay Times noted that Marty is a former public defender who handles criminal defense in the local area. Sarabia told the newspaper that it’s not unusual for the D.A’s office to drop charges so quickly, and insisted that Dash’s celebrity status had no influence over the decision.
