Media, political outrage misplaced

The Fresno Bee - - Opinion -

Josef Stalin purged millions during the 1930s; every world bureaucrat with status above dog catcher voiced their righteous indignation. Stalin commented: “Every death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic.” Yet during World War II, the world made a pact with the devil and that devil died in his sleep in 1953.

Fast forward to 2018; a Saudi national with permanent status in the United States gets whacked in Turkey. The apoplectic media and flaccid politicians in this country want the brain housing group of both King and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia but will settle for our president’s. Yet,they remain absolutely silent beyond the obligatory obituary regarding the continuous maiming and killing of law enforcement officers throughout this country as well as innocent residents of South Chicago and other U. S. cities.

Meanwhile, John Brennan, former CIA director and his ilk, accuse our president of treason and collusion. Nothing proven to date, but these same naysayers are quick to forget an Islamic axiom that President Trump clearly understands: “An enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
