Lt. Ir­win Burkey, an army clerk sta­tioned at Fort Mon­roe, VA, is spend­ing the hol­i­day sea­son with his par­ents on South Third Street, Ham­burg. It is his first visit home since he en­listed in the ser­vice in July.

Wil­liam Muntz, an en­listed man at Camp Meade, spent the Christ­mas hol­i­days at home, vis­it­ing his brother Abra­ham.

Edgar Wengert, a molder at Con­fer, Smith & Com­pany’s foundry had the mis­for­tune of ac­ci­den­tally pour­ing metal into his shoe last Thurs­day which will dis­able him from work for sev­eral weeks. Dr. Pot­teiger dressed the in­jury.
