Elizabeth Corotto, 95, formerly of Hazleton, passed away peacefully Wednesday with her family by her side.
Elizabeth was a resident of Ridgeview Nursing Home, Shenandoah, for the past six years.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Forte) Manganelli.
In 1947, she married Samuel J. They were active members in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton. She lived a beautiful life. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Samuel, in 1983; brothers, Frank, Alphonso, Neil and Pasquale Manganelli; sisters, Jenny Cusate, Marion Manganelli and Josephine Carado; and a grandson and granddaughter. Surviving are her daughter, Candida and her husband, Chally Gannon; son, James Samuel Corotto and his wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Paul Samuel Corotto and his wife, Mallory, Scott Johnston and Anthony James Corotto and his wife, Gina; Samuel Fort; great-granddaughters, great-grandsons, Corotto and Russell Owen Lilah Wynter Corotto and Gabrielle Fort; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Queen of Lady Heaven of Grace Parish Church. at Our Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fountain Springs. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, 750 N.
