Woman caught with stolen goods
A wanted Berwick woman was caught with more than $1,100 in stolen merchandise when apprehended for shoplifting at a Hazle Twp. store.
Kasandra L. Fenton, 31, was charged with receiving stolen property, retail theft and false reports by state police at Hazleton. The charges were filed against her Nov. 1 and bail was set at $1,000 Nov. 27 at Luzerne County Central Court, Wilkes-Barre.
According to arrest papers, loss prevention workers at Boscov’s in Laurel Mall took $1,181 in merchandise and exited the store on Oct. 26. Fenton gave police a false name but troopers found out her real identity when they checked her fingerprints and learned she was wanted by state parole, court papers state.
