Drug charges for Free­land man

A Free­land man was found with drugs when bor­ough po­lice took him into cus­tody on a war­rant Jan. 1.

Carl N. Busch, 32, was charged with mis­de­meanors for pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana and use or pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia by Weatherly po­lice. He was taken to jail af­ter fail­ing to post $5,000 bail set by Mag­is­te­rial Dis­trict Judge Joseph Ho­manko, Weatherly, on Jan. 3.

Po­lice said he had var­i­ous items in his pos­ses­sion to in­clude over 13 glas­sine bags with residue, two nee­dles, two glass smok­ing pipes with residue that tested pos­i­tive for mar­i­juana, a spoon and 0.2 grams of mar­i­juana.

Busch was in cus­tody at the Free­land sta­tion in re­la­tion to charges from a Dec. 19 ve­hi­cle stop he fled in Weatherly, court pa­pers state.
