The fol­low­ing court cases were han­dled in lo­cal mag­is­te­rial dis­trict courts, ac­cord­ing to court records:

■ A crim­i­nal case for charges of sim­ple as­sault, dis­or­derly con­duct and harass­ment filed against Ed­uardo S. Then, 32, Hazleton, by city po­lice in re­sponse to a Dec. 29 of­fense at 533 N. Lo­cust St., was dis­missed Wednes­day by Mag­is­te­rial Dis­trict Judge Joseph Spag­n­uolo Jr., Plains Twp., af­ter the vic­tim re­fused to tes­tify.

■ A crim­i­nal case for charges of ter­ror­is­tic threats, sim­ple as­sault, reck­less en­dan­ger­ment and harass­ment filed against David M. Har­ris Jr., 33, Hazleton, by city po­lice af­ter a re­ported Dec. 26 do­mes­tic in­ci­dent at 204 S. Cedar St., was dis­missed by Mag­is­te­rial Dis­trict Judge Joseph Spag­n­uolo Jr., Plains Twp., af­ter the vic­tim re­fused to tes­tify.

■ A crim­i­nal case for charges of ter­ror­is­tic threats, sim­ple as­sault, reck­less en­dan­ger­ment and harass­ment filed against John Stahura, 69, Jim Thorpe, by Hazleton po­lice af­ter an Aug. 26 of­fense at 773 Al­ter St., was dis­missed Wednes­day by Mag­is­te­rial Dis­trict Judge Joseph Car­mody at Cen­tral Court in Wilkes-Barre.

■ En­gel M. Luis-Mena, 27, West Hazleton, pleaded guilty Wednes­day to a sum­mary ci­ta­tion for dis­or­derly con­duct. A crim­i­nal case for al­ter­ing or oblit­er­at­ing iden­ti­fi­ca­tion mark and ag­gra­vated as­sault, felonies; and pos­ses­sion of of­fen­sive weapon and dis­or­derly con­duct, mis­de­meanors, along with a sum­mary count of harass­ment, was with­drawn by bor­ough po­lice. Mag­is­te­rial Dis­trict Judge James Dixon, Ha­zle Twp., or­dered LuisMena to pay $260.25. He was charged af­ter po­lice re­ceived a re­port of him wav­ing and point­ing a shot­gun at an­other man Oct. 19.
