EX­AMS: On Tues­day, ex­ams will be taken in pe­ri­ods 3/4 and 8/9. Wednes­day’s ex­ams will be given in pe­ri­ods 1/2 and 5/6/7. Thurs­day will be make-up ex­ams. Best of luck to all.

NO SCHOOL: There will be no school Fri­day due to an Act 80 Day. School will also be closed Jan. 21 in ob­ser­vance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as well as Jan. 22.

NEW SE­MES­TER: Jan. 23 will be­gin the sec­ond se­mes­ter. Stu­dents are to re­port to their first se­mes­ter home­room to re­ceive sched­ules. AT­TEN­TION SE­NIORS:

On Jan. 29, a lo­cal pho­tog­ra­pher will be avail­able to take se­nior por­traits at a re­duced price. If you are in­ter­ested, please see Mrs. Cac­cese in Room 110 of the high school or go to the main of­fice at the Ca­reer Cen­ter. Or­der forms will be avail­able when you sign up for the pic­tures. In the event of a de­lay or can­cel­la­tion, the pho­tos will be taken on Jan. 31.

ECOL­OGY CLUB: The Ecol­ogy Club meet­ing will be moved from Tues­day to Thurs­day di­rectly af­ter school in Room 213 un­til 3:15


LI­BRARY: The HAHS Cougar Li­brary will now be open af­ter school Tues­days and Thurs­days un­til 5 p.m. Mr. Zullo and stu­dent tu­tors from Stu­dent Coun­cil and Na­tional Honor So­ci­ety will be avail­able to help any stu­dent. Also, stu­dent tu­tors, please sign up to tu­tor as soon as pos­si­ble. ARTS & HU­MAN­I­TIES:

In the sec­ond half of the an­nual Penn­syl­va­nia Re­nais­sance Faire com­pe­ti­tions, the Arts & Hu­man­i­ties Academy won far more awards than any other of the dozens of par­tic­i­pat­ing high schools. The fol­low­ing stu­dents from the Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Arts Stu­dio won in the pho­tog­ra­phy con­test: Grand prize, Mary Kate Gottstein; first place, Sa­muel Figueroa; sec­ond place, Alyson Malkin, and third place, Eva Olivieri. The fol­low­ing stu­dents from the Honors Visual Arts Stu­dio won in the Dis­play Ad Con­test: Grand prize, Laura Blanco; first place, Alyssa Leonard; sec­ond place, Jenna Ros­sell; third place, Amanda Zu­ber; honor­able men­tion, Jose Cuello. The stu­dents’ art will be used in of­fi­cial Faire ad­ver­tise­ments, and the stu­dents, their fam­i­lies and teach­ers will en­joy a spe­cial free day at the Faire in the spring.

GUID­ANCE: Any ju­nior who took the PSAT test in Oc­to­ber who did not re­ceive their score re­ports please see your coun­selor in guid­ance to pick them up.

FOOT­BALL: Work­outs for re­turn­ing var­sity foot­ball play­ers will be­gin im­me­di­ately af­ter school at the sta­dium. This is for re­turn­ing play­ers only. Trans­porta­tion will not be pro­vided.
