Two people from Shenandoah were involved in a three-vehicle crash Monday in North Manheim Twp., Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Elaine M. Clews, 66, Port Carbon, was traveling north in the left lane of Route 61 and didn’t notice stopped traffic ahead of her. Her vehicle crashed into a vehicle operated by Benjamin Rivera, 46, Pottsville. Rivera’s vehicle then hit a vehicle operated by Joshua A. Zelinsky, 18, Port Carbon, troopers wrote.

Rivera’s passengers were Sandra M. Lara, 49, and a 16-year-old girl, both from Shenandoah. The teenager sustained a possible injury but no other injuries were reported, troopers said.

Traffic in the area was detoured until the vehicles were towed.
