Bran­don Ingram is stay­ing home from the Lak­ers’ up­com­ing twogame road trip due to his sprained left an­kle. He was set to have a pre­cau­tion­ary MRI Thurs­day night.

Ingram in­jured his an­kle early in the Lak­ers’ Wed­nes­day night win over San An­to­nio when Spurs cen­ter LaMar­cus Aldridge fla­grantly fouled him.

Ingram is the Lak­ers’ start­ing shoot­ing guard and their third-lead­ing scorer with 15.2 points per game. points with nine re­bounds and seven as­sists against Cleve­land on Wed­nes­day night in a War­riors’ win. Cava­liers: Cen­ter Tris­tan Thomp­son has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for mak­ing an “in­ap­pro­pri­ate gesture” to a spec­ta­tor. Thomp­son’s ac­tion came at the end of the Cava­liers’ 99-97 win over the Brook­lyn Nets on Mon­day at the Bar­clays Cen­ter. Thomp­son fin­ished with 19 points and 14 re­bounds.
