Lois Jean Puckett 1929 – 2020

Lois Jean Puckett, 90, passed away May 24 in Moriarty. She was born Nov. 24, 1929 in Fort Sumner, to the late Edwin and Eva (Horton) Lobley. Jean was a lifetime resident of New Mexico and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Jean was a Christian who loved God with all her heart. She taught Bible class at Moriarty Church of Christ for many years. She taught 6th grade at Moriarty. Jean and her husband Charles were very active members of NM Associatio­n for Retarded Citizens. Jean was a longtime volunteer at Bethel Storehouse. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles, and her son, Donald. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Howard, Grady and Harold; and sisters, Viera and Lola. Jean is survived by her sons, Ray Puckett and wife Trish; Keith Puckett and wife Veronica; daughter, Rosemary Elliott and husband Gerald; brothers, Stanley Lobley, Jerry Lobley and Larry Lobley; grandchild­ren, Audrey, Wade, Rosalyn, Lloyd, Ashlin, Lewis, Ella, and Valentina; and great-grandchild­ren, Kord, Kal, Eva, Eden, Malachi, Simeon, John and Baby Puckett. A private family burial has already taken place.
