Oscar Lee Wood 1929 – 2020

Oscar Lee Wood, 90, passed away May 26 in Elephant Butte. He was born Nov. 17, 1929 in Mountainair, to the late William Oscar and Anna Mae Wood. Oscar was a lifetime resident of New Mexico. He was an Elks Club member and a lifetime member of the NRA. He belonged the Church of The

Butte and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Oscar was also preceded in death by his wife, Ina Belle (Ludecke) Wood. He is survived by his son, Quinton Lee Wood and wife Connie; daughters, Linda Alvina Doty and husband Russ, and Tommie Carter and husband Gene; sister, Anna Lou Griener and husband Tom; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A private family burial has already taken place.
