-

Juan Antonio Gutierrez, 48, a resident of Edgewood, passed away April 14 in Edgewood. Juan was born May 11, 1972 in Tucson, Arizona, to Frank Tito Gutierrez Sr. and Danita Teague. Juan is survived by his father, Frank Tito Gutierrez Sr. of Edgewood and his mother, Danita Keith and stepfather Gary Keith of Rimrock, Arizona. Other survivors include his three children, two sons, Sage Gutierrez and Dallas Gutierrez, and one daughter, Gracie Belle Gutierrez, all of Sierra Vista, Arizona; the mother of his children, Mary Gutierrez; two brothers, Shannon Keith and wife Amanda of League City, Texas, and Frank Gutierrez Jr. of Cottonwood, Arizona; four sisters, Resa Tufts and her husband Kevin of Portland, Oregon, Mishka Martin and her husband Damon of Trinidad, Colorado, Mikel Dennis and her husband Derrick of Ozark, Missouri, and Shea Thomas and her husband Steve of Bel Air, Maryland; one granddaughter, Kinsli Grayce of Sierra Vista, Arizona; his girlfriend, Samantha White and her daughter Kensleigh; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Juan was a fun-loving, stubborn, greatdancing, life of the party, ear-pulling, protective, Dallas Cowboys-loving, bestair-drum-playing in the driver seat, great-story-telling, man. To those who knew him, you know he was ornery and a hothead. To those who didn't, he was also a big teddy bear with a loud voice. He was more than lovable, he loved fiercely, he had a devilish sense of humor, he had your back and yet he was super sensitive. He could fight with his siblings, but everyone else knew they better not mess with them. His love for his kids was undeniable. Juan was a complicated soul, but he was so loved. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harris-hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty.
