Roy Wayne Langley 1960 – 2021

-

Roy Wayne Langley was born September 28, 1960 and raised in Estancia Valley of Torrance County to Ralph and Selia Langley. He passed away May 2. He was involved in 4-H, FFA, Estancia school athletics, and bull riding. He worked for Prices Dairy and had gone to AI School for Dairy Cows. He also worked at BNSF Railroad, CCA, ICE, and Lobo Security. He loved welding, drawing and painting, being with family and friends, and especially cracking open a cold one while fishing. In the last year his artistic talents exploded into enjoying wood burning, remodeling with the help of his brother-in-law, Ted Carrillo, and Michelle Schmidt in remodeling the kitchen. He loved laughing and joking around with his family and friends; played many pranks on his family. Most of all he had a love and special bond with his children Cordell, Chandi, and Lisa. Roy was a Christian of Faith; loved his Savior and Jesus Christ. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Lee Langley and Chandi Renee Langley; son, Cordell Zane Langley (and wife Haley); brothers, Rocky Langley (and wife Debbie), and Allen Langley (and wife Barbara); and sister, Tina Carrillo (and husband Ted). Roy’s Celebration of Life will be held at The First Baptist Church in Estancia at 10 a.m. on May 15, with a potluck following the memorial service. Roy's ashes will be laid to rest at Conchas Lake for one last fishing trip; Roy so dearly loved fishing with Cordell, Haley, and Chandi. Thank you to family and friends who have called, sent condolences and prayers, and brought food. Also, a thank you to Torrance County Dispatch and Police Department—first Responders Jennifer Badge 305, Chapa Badge 310, Deputy Young; Fire & Rescue Chief Chris Wolonsky, Linda Guiterrez, Nick Griffen; Torrance County Ambulance Paramedics Monte Martinez, Brock, Coroner Wayne Granger, and Harris-hanlon Mortuary's Grant Preston, Jamie Kurz, and Jason Boggan.
