Weekend Forecast: Dry & warm, chance of showers on Sunday

A break in the monsoon is in store for the East Mountains as high pressure in Texas and Oklahoma bring drier air to the East Mountains Friday and Saturday. Moisture increases from the south on Sunday leading to a chance of afternoon showers and thundersto­rms.

For Edgewood, Moriarty and the Estancia Valley, expect warm and weather Friday and Saturday. High temperatur­es Friday will be in the lower 80s and on Saturday in the middle to upper 80s. Overnight low temperatur­es will be in the lower to middle 50s. There will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thundersto­rms on Sunday.

High temperatur­es will be in the middle 80s.

For Cedar Crest, Tijeras and Sedillo areas expect warm and weather Friday and Saturday. High temperatur­es Friday will be around 80 degrees and on Saturday in the lower to middle 80s. Overnight low temperatur­es will be in the middle to upper 50s Friday night and around 60 degrees Saturday night. There will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thundersto­rms on Sunday. High temperatur­es will be in the lower 80s.
