Weekend Forecast: Evening thundersto­rms through Sunday

High pressure along the Missouri-kansas border will draw moisture northward into the East Mountains. This will lead to afternoon and evening thundersto­rms through the weekend along with warm temperatur­es. Locally heavy rain is possible in thundersto­rms.

For Edgewood, Moriarty and the Estancia Valley, expect afternoon and evening showers and thundersto­rms right through the weekend along with warm temperatur­es. Locally heavy rain is possible in thundersto­rms. High temperatur­es through the weekend will be in the middle to upper 80s. Overnight low temperatur­es will be in the lower to middle 50s.

For Cedar Crest, Tijeras and Sedillo areas expect afternoon and evening showers and thundersto­rms right through the weekend along with warm temperatur­es. Locally heavy rain is possible in thundersto­rms. High temperatur­es Friday will be in the middle 80s with overnight low temperatur­es Friday night around 60 degrees. High temperatur­es Saturday and Sunday will be in the middle to upper 80s. Overnight low temperatur­es Saturday night will be in the middle to upper 50s.
