Weekend Forecast: Warm, high temperatur­es through Sunday

High pressure will continue the low level south to southwest flow over the East mountains. This will cause temperatur­es to remain above normal through the weekend. A weak backdoor cold front could bring a thundersto­rm to the area Saturday afternoon and evening but chances are very low for any significan­t rainfall.

For Edgewood, Moriarty and the Estancia Valley, expect Friday to be dry and very warm. High temperatur­es will be in the upper 80s with overnight low temperatur­es Friday night around 50 degrees. Saturday will see a slight chance of an afternoon or evening thundersto­rm with warm temperatur­es. High temperatur­es Saturday will be in the middle to upper 80s with overnight low temperatur­es Saturday night in the lower 50s. Sunday will be dry and warm with high temperatur­es in the middle 80s.

For Cedar Crest, Tijeras and Sedillo areas, expect Friday to be dry and very warm. High temperatur­es will be in the middle to upper 80s with overnight low temperatur­es Friday night in the lower to middle 50s. Saturday will see a slight chance of an afternoon or evening thundersto­rm with warm temperatur­es. High temperatur­es Saturday will be in the middle 80s with overnight low temperatur­es Saturday night in the middle 50s. Sunday will be dry and warm with high temperatur­es in the lower to middle 80s.
