Brian Fabian Alarid, 35, lifelong resident of Estancia, was called to the Lord Dec. 7. Brian was born Jan. 13, 1986, in Albuquerqu­e, to Candido G. and Flora (Montoya) Alarid. Brian was preceded in death by his grandfathe­r, Candido Alarid Sr.; grandfathe­r, Ramon Montoya; grandparen­ts, Cenovio and Marianna Trevzo; and beloved mother, Flora Alarid. He is survived by his loving wife, Erin Alarid; children, Mathias Alarid, Genesis Alarid, and stepson Jerin Lajeunesse; father, Candido G. Alarid; brother, Candido (and Shannon) Alarid lv, and their children, Cinco, Eliana, and Addison; grandmothe­r, Evangelina Alarid; along with many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Brian was a true New Mexico cowboy; he loved to rope and work cattle with his father. Brian was a long-time employee of BNSF Railway, and took pride in his hard work ethic and drive. No one could outwork Brian. He was a humble man with manners, respect and kindness beyond belief. Brian’s pride and joy was his children. He was a wonderful family man and husband, who is loved by all his family and friends. Brian will be deeply missed by all, while he rests in his eternal home in heaven along with his mother. Funeral services will be held Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Estancia High School Gymnasium, with pastor Patrick Patcha officiatin­g. Burial will follow at the Estancia Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearer­s will be Lorenzo Garley, David Lovato, Anthony

Reynolds, Jeff Powers, Tim Moya, Leo Sierra, and Brian Crider. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Mathias Alarid, Jerin Lajeunesse, Candido G. Alarid, Candido Alarid IV, Cinco Alarid, Cimarron Luna, Kenneth Branch and Matthew Sedillo. Funeral arrangemen­ts were entrusted to the Harris-hanlon Mortuary.
