ANDERSON – Albert George Jr, 90, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesvill­e following a brief illness.

He was born on August 4, 1933, in Florala, Alabama to Albert George Sr. and Alice (Cabler) George.

He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, Albert graduated from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He later graduated from Indiana University School of Law and was a practicing attorney until his retirement.

He was a devout Christian and was a member of Community Bible Fellowship Church in Westfield. He specialize­d in teaching and writing about Christian apologetic­s. He also taught adult Sunday school classes.

Albert is survived by his children, Craig (wife, Cindy) George, Dana (husband, Khalil) Wakim and Jefferson George; nephews, Bryan Oldham and Brad Oldham; five grandchild­ren; and seven great-grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dana (Cox) George; his parents; and a sister, Mary Catherine Oldham.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Riverview Hospital for their loving care and support during Albert’s final days.

A private service will be held at Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor David Hoffeditz officiatin­g. A private burial will be held at Cicero Cemetery in Cicero.

A private visitation will be held at the funeral home.
