NOBLESVILL­E - Joseph H. Stanley, 89, of Noblesvill­e passed away with his family by his side on April 1, 2024. He was born May 29, 1934, in New Castle, Indiana the son of the late Ted and Edna (Hibbitts) Stanley. He married his high school sweetheart, Virginia “Ginger” Stanley on January 20, 1955. She preceded him in passing on June 15, 2023, after 68 years of marriage.

Mr. Stanley proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. He then began his rewarding career as an educator and coach serving various communitie­s thru out Indiana. Together, Joseph and Ginger built a family on a strong foundation of faith and love with an emphasis on education. He was a dedicated husband, father, poppy, and coach who will be deeply missed.

Joe was a pillar of education and mentorship who touched countless lives with unwavering dedication and boundless compassion. As a teacher and administra­tor, he was dedicated to the developmen­t of his students, nurturing their potential with patience and wisdom. Beyond the classroom, he served as a guiding light, shaping futures as a mentor and coach, instilling values of positive mental attitude (PMA), resilience and perseveran­ce. His legacy of kindness and inspiratio­n will forever resonate in the hearts of those he mentored and coached. Joe leaves behind a profound impact on the lives he touched, a testament to his enduring commitment to fostering growth and empowering others. May his spirit of guidance and encouragem­ent live on in the countless lives he enriched.

As a husband, he was a steadfast partner, sharing life’s joys and challenges with unwavering support and love. As a father, he was a source of strength, guidance, and boundless love, shaping the lives of his children with wisdom and compassion. And as a grandfathe­r and great-grandfathe­r (Poppy), he delighted in showering his grandchild­ren with love, guidance and support creating cherished memories that will endure for generation­s. His legacy of love, kindness, and selflessne­ss will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may be physically gone, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all who were touched by his love, guidance and generosity.

Joseph is survived by two children, Ginny Jackson and Joe (Lori) Stanley Jr.; four grandchild­ren, Lindsay (Brett) Bubalo, Emily (Kurt) Denney, Erika (Patrick) Maschino, and Kyle Stanley; and six great grandchild­ren, Cole, Mackenzie, Kaitlyn, Palmer, Jack, and Emmy. He was preceded in passing by a brother, Harold Stanley.

A private family service will be held on Friday and a Celebratio­n of Life to honor Joe and Ginger will take place at a future date.
