John Lee Phillips

INDIANAPOLIS - On April 11, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul as John Lee Phillips peacefully passed away at his Residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 15, 1945, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Wilbur and Mary (McClanahan) Phillips, John led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In mourning the loss of John Lee Phillips are his beloved wife Bibiana “Bibi’ (Brizendine) Phillips; son Darren (Alyssa) Phillips; daughter Lisa Phillips; sibling Donald Phillips, Ellen (Denny) Eckert; grandchildren Violet, Lyla, Luke, Elsa, Henry and Silas, along with a host of extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Mary (McClanahan) Phillips, son Nathan Phillips, brother William Phillips, sisters Shirley Washburn and Leah Pennington.

Services to honor and celebrate John’s life will be held on Friday April 19, 2024, at O’Riley - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A visitation will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. The burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

John Lee Phillips will forever be remembered for his kindness, wit, and unwavering love for his family. John leaves a message to all his golfing buddies “Hit them long and straight”.
