Robert Joseph Spicuzza, a dedicated husband, loving father, cherished grandfathe­r, and respected member of his community, passed away at his home on April 12, 2024. He was born in his beloved hometown of Indianapol­is, Indiana on February 14, 1943.

Robert served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy before embarking on a fruitful 36-year career in advertisin­g with the Indianapol­is Star. He was known for his commitment to excellence and creativity in everything he pursued.

Outside of his profession­al life, Robert will always be remembered as a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church where he found solace and community. His faith was the cornerston­e of his life and guided him through both joyous and challengin­g times.

In his leisure time, Robert was an ardent supporter of the Indianapol­is Colts and the Chicago Cubs. His love for sports brought him closer to friends and family as they cheered on their favorite teams together.

Robert Joseph Spicuzza is survived by his beloved wife Vicki; his children Salli (John) Wolf, Sara Spicuzza, and Robert (Lindsey) Spicuzza Jr.; his grandchild­ren John (Elizabeth) Wolf, Amber (Ken) Miller, Shelbi Wolf, Haylee (Devin) Solomon, Jessica (Charon) Smith, Jacob Spicuzza, Livia Spicuzza, Isla Spicuzza; as well as great-grandchild­ren Eleanor Wolf, Vivian Wolf, Kayden Miller, Zoey Miller, and Caiya Wolf. He is also survived by his brothers Gus (Marilyn) and Jason Spicuzza and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents August and Betty (Cook) Spicuzza. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O’Riley - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapol­is, IN 46227. Morning Prayers will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N 17th Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials in Robert’s name may be made to Holy Name Catholic Church or to the Parkinson Foundation, envelopes will be available at the funeral Home.

Robert’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him as a kind-hearted soul who touched many lives along his journey.
