defensive presence for the Sabres. Blair Goodrich So., Kent Island Goodrich often started at midfield and shifted throughout the field the rest of the game, a superb athlete with the ability to cover all corners with aplomb.

She led the Bucs with 59 draw controls, while also routinely stuffing the stat sheets to the tune of 33 goals, 13 assists, 54 groundballs, 16 caused turnovers and 10 takeaways. Goodrich plays club ball for Maryland United. * ** Attack Josephine Smith

Sr., Gunston Smith was a three-year member of the ESIAC and Capital Area Lacrosse League all-conference teams, coinciding with her three years as the primary finisher for the Herons varsity unit.

Smith capped her senior season with 38 goals, 28 assists. 39 groundballs, eight caused turnovers and 15 takeaways. She will be attending St. Vincent College in western Pennsylvania this fall.

Kylie Tulowitzky So., Queen Anne’s Much of the Lions’ future success will hinge on the continued development of Rulapaugh and Tulowitzky, who scored 35 goals, passed for 10 assists and picked up 32 groundballs in her second year with the varsity.

The Lady Blue Crabs club player is a candidate to make the biggest leap in 2019 with added responsibilities.

Camryn Pepper So., North Caroline The do-everything Pepper was at the forefront of the Bulldogs’ emergence from Bayside also-rans to competing with perennial contenders. Pepper netted 25 goals, 21 assists and 23 groundballs, and should only improve her performance and profile in 2019 given North Caroline’s rapid rise in the conference.

Defense Sydney Holtzner Sr., Kent Island Tasked with checking the other team’s top finisher in virtually every game, Holtzner was also a ball-hawk throughout the season with 38 groundballs, 18 caused turnovers and eight takeaways.

The Buccaneers’ team captain is also a Maryland United alum, and will attend Florida Southern beginning this fall. Myia Jeter So., Easton Arguably the best defender in the Bayside Conference, Jeter also bolsters her play with impeccable stick work when carrying the ball, and has the ability to shift to midfield when called to duty. The Lady Blue Crabs member is already drawing attention from numerous Division I schools, and should be a virtual lock for the first-team All-Mid-Shore team for the remainder of her high school career.

Grace Sweetak Jr., Queen Anne’s The leader of a Queen Anne’s defense that found its stride later in the season, The Chesapeake Club Lacrosse member has verbally committed to Rollins (Fla.) College.

Goalie Kyleigh Hessian Sr., Kent Island The Buccaneers allowed more than 10 goals to only one Bayside Conference program in 2018, and Hessian, as the final line of defense, was instrumental in that dominance. Voted as the team MVP on defense by Kent Island, Hessian excelled on eight-meter shots and made 132 saves, including a combined 27 from the 2A East Section II final and onward.

Hessian, another decorated Maryland United member, will be attending Seton Hall University beginning this fall.
