County commission can­di­date fo­rum planned

WYE MILLS — Queen Anne’s County Board of Com­mis­sion­ers can­di­dates are sched­uled to meet at a fo­rum Sept. 13 to dis­cuss their po­si­tions on en­vi­ron­men­tal is­sues.

The pub­lic fo­rum will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege’s Cadby Theatre at 1000 Col­lege Cir­cle in Wye Mills.

The fo­rum is be­ing co-spon­sored by Ch­e­sa­peake Bay Foun­da­tion and Wash­ing­ton Col­lege.

Greg Far­ley, Wash­ing­ton Col­lege’s di­rec­tor of sus­tain­abil­ity, will mod­er­ate the fo­rum and ask ques­tions on top­ics such as cli­mate change, the health of the Ch­e­sa­peake Bay, and man­ag­ing de­vel­op­ment and growth. At the fo­rum, mem­bers of the pub­lic can sub­mit ques­tions they’d like the can­di­dates to an­swer.

The event is one of a se­ries of can­di­date fo­rums Ch­e­sa­peake Bay Foun­da­tion is help­ing to or­ga­nize in Mary­land that are sched­uled to take place in Septem­ber and Oc­to­ber in ad­vance of the state’s Nov. 6 Gen­eral Elec­tion.
