County commission candidate forum planned
WYE MILLS — Queen Anne’s County Board of Commissioners candidates are scheduled to meet at a forum Sept. 13 to discuss their positions on environmental issues.
The public forum will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Chesapeake College’s Cadby Theatre at 1000 College Circle in Wye Mills.
The forum is being co-sponsored by Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Washington College.
Greg Farley, Washington College’s director of sustainability, will moderate the forum and ask questions on topics such as climate change, the health of the Chesapeake Bay, and managing development and growth. At the forum, members of the public can submit questions they’d like the candidates to answer.
The event is one of a series of candidate forums Chesapeake Bay Foundation is helping to organize in Maryland that are scheduled to take place in September and October in advance of the state’s Nov. 6 General Election.
