League of Women Vot­ers spon­sors lo­cal can­di­dates fo­rums

CEN­TRE­VILLE — Dur­ing Oc­to­ber, the League of Women Vot­ers of Queen Anne’s County will hold can­di­date fo­rums for the Queen Anne’s County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion and County Com­mis­sion­ers and a meet and greet for the Judge of the Or­phans’ Court can­di­dates to pro­vide vot­ers the op­por­tu­nity to see, hear and ques­tion can­di­dates. These events are free and open to the pub­lic.

On Wed­nes­day, Oct. 10, the League of Women Vot­ers of Queen Anne’s County will hold a meet and greet for the Queen Anne’s County Judge of Or­phans’ Court can­di­dates and a fo­rum for the At-Large can­di­dates for Board of Ed­u­ca­tion at Queen Anne’s County Plan­ning and Zon­ing, 110 Vincit St., Suite 104, Cen­tre­ville. Meet and speak with can­di­dates be­gin­ning at 6 p.m. The fol­low­ing can­di­dates plan to at­tend: Kim­berly Cas­cia (R), Thomas Walsh (R), Fred Mc­Neil (D) and Wil­lie Mae Pauls (D). The Board of Ed­u­ca­tion fo­rum will be­gin at 7 p.m., fea­tur­ing Tammy Harper and Mary Walker.

On Mon­day, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m., the LWVQAC will hold a fo­rum for County Com­mis­sion can­di­dates at the Queen Anne’s County Plan­ning and Zon­ing, 110 Vincit St., Suite 104, Cen­tre­ville.

Par­tic­i­pat­ing will be the two can­di­dates for the AtLarge seat, Jim Mo­ran (R), and Elaine Har­ri­son (D); the two can­di­dates for Dis­trict One, Jack Wil­son (R) and An­nette DiMag­gio (D); the two can­di­dates for Dis­trict 2, Steve Wil­son (R) and Ben Til­gh­man (D); the two can­di­dates for Dis­trict 3, Phil Du­me­nil (R) and Jim Coul­ter (D); and the two can­di­dates for Dis­trict 4, Chris Corchiarino (R) and Deb­o­rah Krueger (D).

The par­tic­i­pat­ing can­di­dates will in­tro­duce them­selves, an­swer au­di­ence ques­tions and have a brief time for an in­di­vid­ual wrapup.
