Local Skaters Support Mid-Shore Libraries
CENTREVILLE — Thanks to the members of the Talbot Figure Skating Team — a collection drive is happening now to support ongoing book sale efforts of both the Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library and the Friends of Talbot County Free Librar y.
Donations of gently used books (including both kids book and adult books, fiction and non-fiction), DVDs and CDs can be made at the skating rink at the Talbot County Community Center in Easton throughout December.
Book sales are vital fund-raisers for the Friends of the Librar y groups in Queen Anne’s County and Talbot County. Funds raised from the sale of used books support new and expanded library programs and equipment improvements at libraries.
A wide range of used books, DVDs, and CDs are available at Kent Island and Centreville libraries every day in their Used Book Nooks in library lobbies.
With many like-new books costing just $1, it’s a great place to find holiday bargains, while supporting a vital community resource.
Talbot Figure Skating Team members lead a collection drive to support ongoing book sale efforts of both the Friends of Queen Anne’s County Library and the Friends of Talbot County Free Library.
Jane is one of the sweetest, gentlest cats you’ll ever meet. Jane had kittens several months ago, all of which were adopted. Jane was adopted too, but then she lost her home because of a urinary issue, which has now been resolved. Her adoption donation has been sponsored. She does well with people of all ages and other cats, too. To meet Jane, call Chesapeake Cats and Dogs at 410-643-9955 for an appointment.
