ROAD WATCH

- Road projects are always weather dependent and subject to delays.

Dequindre Road

Dequindre Road in Shelby Township (Road Commission for Oakland County) from Utica Road and Collins Avenue. Area will be reconstruc­ted and widened from two to five lanes. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction. Expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible. Project duration May-November 2020.

Harper Avenue

Northbound Harper at 11 Mile Road undergoing concrete restoratio­n work from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily weather permitting. Expect delays and seek alternate route when possible. Project duration June 26-August 2020

Jefferson Avenue

From Shook Road to St. Clair Shores boundary will be undergoing mill, base repair and asphalt overlay. Expect delays. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes. Project duration Aug. 24-31.

Jefferson Avenue in St. Clair Shores from city limits to I-94 will have traffic restricted to one lane in each direction. Traffic lanes will be shifted as work progresses. Flagging operations will direct traffic when necessary. Expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible. Project consists of HMA milling and resurfacin­g, concrete pavement patching, joint repair, ADA sidewalk ramps, curb repair and restoratio­n. Project duration May-August 2020.

Mumble strip and pavement marking

Mumble strip and pavement marking will be taking place in various locations throughout Macomb

County. Open to local traffic during the constructi­on. Flagging operations and pilot car to control and guide traffic when necessary. Expect lane restrictio­ns and delays. Project duration is May-Fall 2020.

Ryan Road

Ryan Road Bridge over the Clinton River in Shelby Township. Bridge will be closed to traffic starting July 27. No detour route will be posted. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. Project consists of replacemen­t of existing bridge deck, upgrade bridge barrier railings, approach work, guardrail replacemen­t, beam and structure painting. Project duration July 27-Sept. 4.

Shelby Township resurfacin­g

Pavement conditioni­ng work on Mound Road (M59 to Jamestown Road) and 23 Mile Road from Shelby Road to Mound Road. Concrete milling and repair, HMA overlay, ADA ramps, gravel shoulders, turn lane constructi­on and restoratio­n. Open to local traffic during constructi­on. Flagging operations to stop traffic when necessary. Expect lane restrictio­ns and delays. Duration of project MarchOctob­er 2020.

10 Mile Road

10 Mile Road from I-94 to Kelly Road in Eastpointe. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction. Traffic lanes will be shifted as work progresses. Flagging operations will direct traffic when necessary. Expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible. Project consists of HMA milling and resurfacin­g, concrete pavement patching, joint repair, ADA sidewalk ramps, curb repair, and restoratio­n work. Project duration July 13, 2020-October 2020

15 Mile Road

15 Mile Road in Sterling Heights, the railroad crossing (Canadian National Railway) will be closed for crossing repairs. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes. Project duration Aug. 17-Aug. 21.

21 Mile Road

21 Mile Road from a half mile east of Heydenreic­h Road to Card Road, Macomb Township. From Aug. 6 to approximat­ely Aug. 14, Red River Drive and Cynthia Drive access to 21 Mile Road will be closed for concrete entrance curb replacemen­t and cure time. Both locations have access to Card Road south of 21 Mile Road. From Aug. 8 to approximat­ely Aug. 14, Le Grand Blvd. ingress and egress will be closed for concrete entrance replacemen­t and cure time. West Bridge Manor is accessible from La Roche Drive W. approximat­ely 1500 feet west of La Grande Blvd. Roadway widening and resurfacin­g including station grading, sewer work, aggregate base, cold milling, HMA pavement, pavement marking and restoratio­n work. Traffic will be maintained at all times during constructi­on. Restricted to one lane of alternatin­g traffic at times. Expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible. Project duration June 2020-August 2020.

I-696

In Oakland County, westbound I-696 from Franklin to Inkster will have an intermitte­nt left lane closed from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound I-696 from Drake to Farmington Road will have a right lane closed intermitte­ntly from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.

I-75

In Oakland County, southbound I-75 from University to Adams will have a moving right lane closure from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

I-94

In Macomb and Wayne County, eastbound I-94 will be closed from M-3 Gratiot to I-696, including on and off ramps until 5 a.m. Monday.

In Macomb County, westbound I-94 from 26 to 23 Mile Road will have one lane open until 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. MondayWedn­esday.

In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound I-94 from Little Mack to Shook will have moving single lane closures from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 at Oakwood will have one lane open, two right closed until 3 p.m. Sunday.

In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound I-94 from Rawsonvill­e to I-275 will have one lane open until 5 a.m. Monday, including ramp closures.

In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 ramps to northbound and southbound I-275 will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday.

I-96

In Oakland County, eastbound I-96 from Wilson Road to Beck will have the right lane closed intermitte­ntly from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.

In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound I-96 near Novi will ha one lane open until 5 a.m. Monday. Novi ramps closed.

M-1 (Woodward)

In Oakland County, nortbound M-1 from Maple to Quarton will have the right lane closed until 3 p.m. Monday.

M-102 (8 Mile Road)

In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound M-102 ramps to eastbound I-94 will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday.

In Wayne and Oakland counties, eastbound 8 Mile Road ramp to southbound I-275 will be closed until 4 p.m. Monday.

M-102 between I-75 and I-94. Project consists of concrete pavement repairs, asphalt milling and resurfacin­g, repairing curbs and gutters, sidewalk ramps and some damage repairs. Access will be maintained to all neighborho­ods and businesses during constructi­on. Duration March 2020Late Fall 2020.

M-3 (Gratiot Ave.)

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound M-3 ramps to eastbound I-94 will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday.

M-10

In Wayne County, southbound M-10 ramp to southbound I-75 will be closed until 9 a.m. Sunday.

In Oakland County, northbound M-10 from M-39 to 10 Mile Road will have one lane open until 3 p.m. Monday, then two lanes open, left lane closed though Sept. 4.

In Oakland County, southbound M-10 from 10 Mile to M-39 will have one lane open until 5 a.m. Monday, then two lanes open, left lane closed through Sept. 4.

In Wayne County, northbound M-10 near 6 Mile, from Meyers to Outer Drive will have two lanes open, right closed through midOctober.

M-24

In Oakland County, southbound M-24 ramp to southbound I-75 will be closed from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

M-39 (Southfield)

In Wayne County, southbound M-39 to Allen will have two left lanes open, two right closed until 5 a.m. Monday.

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound M-39 ramps to eastbound I-94 will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday.

M-53 (Van Dyke)

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound M-53 ramps to eastbound I-94 will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday.

M-59

In Macomb County, eastbound M-59 from Romeo Plank to M-97 (Groesbeck) will have a moving right lane closure from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

M-97

In Macomb County, northbound M-97 from Martin Road to 12 Mile will have the right lane closed daily from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Aug. 24.

US-24 (Telegraph)

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound US24 near 5 Mile Road will be closed from 6-9 a.m. Saturday.

In Oakland County, southbound US-24 from M-10 to Franklin Road will have the right two lanes closed, two lanes open until 5 p.m. Sunday.
