HUFSTETLER, SHIRLEY J.

Shirley J. Hufstetler, 70 year resident of Harrison Township, Michigan, passed away at McLaren hospital on July 5, 2021. She was 91 years young, born on January 25, 1930. She was the wife of 70 years to the late Perry Patrick Hufstetler, who preceded Shirley in death on November 18, 2020. Mrs. Hufstetler volunteered in the nursing

most notably through the Red Cross. In her younger years, she was an active PTA volunteer. A collector of the old and rare, she could often be found bargain hunting for unique antiques and collectibles at estate and garage sales and often came home with treasures for everyone. She was a woman of deep faith and had the certainty that her heavenly home was waiting. She attended “Harrison at Metro Church”. Most importantly, Grammy was loved by all that met her, prayed for hundreds of people and needs, and lived her faith till her last day. She is survived by her children Cynthia (William) Coughlin and Allen (Vicki) Hufstetler. She was the dear grandmother of Tara Coughlin, Bethany (Blaine) Franger, Justin (Malorie) Coughlin, Michael (Sera) Heron, and Nathan (Melinda) Hufstetler. Additionally, she was the proud great-grandmother to Kailey, Ava, Ellary, Violet, Everett, Otis, Wyatt, Owen, Jack, and Hazel. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, parents Frosty and Mary Kathryn Allen, and her brother Richard. Visitation will be held at the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mt. Clemens, MI on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 6:30
