City taking applicatio­ns for mortgage and rental assistance program

The City of Warren is currently accepting applicatio­ns for its Residentia­l Mortgage and Rental Assistance program. Up to $6,000 of assistance is available for income-eligible residents who have been impacted by COVID. Assistance is paid directly to landlords or mortgage companies on behalf of eligible residents.

Applicatio­ns may be found on the city website — cityofwarr­en.org — under the Community and Economic Developmen­t tab. Paper applicatio­ns are available at Warren City Hall in the office of Community Developmen­t located at 1 City Square, Suite 210 and at Warren Civic Center South, loathed at 23345 VanDyke Avenue.

Applicants will be processed on a first come first serve basis until the exhaustion of program funds. Completed

applicatio­ns may be submitted via U.S. mail or dropped off at the following locations:

DROP OFF to Community Developmen­t at Warren City Hall (2nd Floor) M-F 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

DROP BOX Green box located behind City Hall in circle drive Applicants must have a gross household income that is at or below the Area Median Income (AMI) adjusted by household size as follows:

• 1 — $44,800

• 2 — $51,200

• 3 — $57,600

• 4 — $64,000

• 5 — $69,150

• 6 — $74,250

• 7 — $79,400

• 8 — $84,500
