Ted Nugent brings tour this summer
Ted Nugent brings his Detroit Muscle Tour Sterling Heights as he returns to Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre on Saturday, Aug. 13 for a night of earsplitting, note-shearing heavy metal hits.
Concert promoters 313 Presents says tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
The tour supports Nugent’s latest effort Detroit Muscle, which is due out in April. Rounding his trio will be Greg Smith on bass and drummer Jason Hartless.
“The mighty Motor City is forever globally known as the epicenter of the ultimate high energy soulmusic firestorm, and everybody desperately needs a suckerpunch of Detroit Muscle now more than ever. Relax, it’s good for you,” he said in a news release.
The Motor City Madman’s set no doubt will include his classic hits as a solo artist, as well as a few surprises, ranging from snippets of tunes from his days with the Damn Yankees and beyond. Nugent has earned a place in rock history as a free-flying guitar-shredding showman, selling more than 40 million albums, performing 6,750 live shows and setting attendance around the world.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25.15 and are now on sale for other shows already announced for the venue formerly known as Freedom Hill Amphitheatre including:
