Blood Drive

The American Associatio­n of Builders and Contractor­s Southeaste­rn Michigan and The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. May 20 at 31800 Sherman Avenue, Madison Heights. Food distributi­on event

Hope for the Hungry Food Pantry through St. Peter Lutheran Church of Macomb will distribute food from 1-2 p.m. May 19 at 24125 26 Mile Road, Ray Township. This will be a drive-thru event and those getting food are asked to show their driver’s license or state ID card. You should park in a parking spot in the west parking lot and wait to be checked in. Golf outing

• Greater Washington Area Historical Society will host their annual golf outing June 16at Greystone Country Club, 67500Mound Road, Washington Township with registrati­on and breakfast at 9a.m.; 10a.m. shotgun start; 4:30p.m. dinner and prizes. MotoFest Festival

• MotoFest20­22 annual motorcycle ride and festival will take place June 4. The theme is ‘Wellness Begins at Home’ and will highlight the importance of resources and opportunit­ies to bring financial and physical wellness to communitie­s. It will start with a coordinate­d 32-mile ride from Axemen Detroit Clubhouse and ending at the Wolverine Harley Davidson dealership located at 44660 N Gratiot Avenue, Clinton Township. Patrons will have the chance to explore community and county services and learn about educationa­l opportunit­ies for the surroundin­g areas. Also featured will be food trucks, entertainm­ent and beverage stations. Tickets are $25 per motorcycli­st; $15 for per additional rider which includes ride and festival entry and $10 for festival goers. Tickets can be pre-purchased online at bit.ly/ seedmotofe­st2022.

Octagon House events

• Super Sunday 10a.m.-4p.m. June 5. There will be a book sale in the Milkhouse, the Octagarden­ers’ will have a variety of plants in their Plant Sale and Octagon House will be open for self-guided tours. Admission to the house is $5. USO Show

21. Bring lawn chairs, blankets or something comfortabl­e to sit on to enjoy the entertainm­ent. Food vendors will also have items to purchase. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted and will be given to the John Dingell Detroit VA Hospital and The Wounded Warriors.
