Eagle Pointe historical maker to be dedicated

The Historical Commission of St. Clair Shores will dedicate an historic marker recognizin­g Eagle Pointe on the Lake Subdivisio­n Nov. 19. Eagle Pointe is being recognized for its significan­ce to the developmen­t of the city’s residentia­l community. The ceremony is set to take place Nov. 19, 11 a.m. on Jefferson Avenue north of 10 Mile Road.

The historic marker will be the ninth placed by the Historical Commission since 2015.

To date, markers have been placed at: Kyte Monroe Field on Harper Avenue, the Davis Block at Eleven Mile Road and Harper, Richards Automotive at Nine Mile Road and Harper, Roy O’Brien Ford at Nine Mile Road and Greater Mack Avenue, St. Gertrude’s Roman Catholic Church on Jefferson Avenue at L’Anse, Labadie Farm at Jefferson Avenue and Ten Mile Road, Blossom Heath at Jefferson south of Ten Mile Road, and Van’s Used Cars at the Junction of Little Mack and Harper Avenue.
