Eminem did not have to tell anybody what his name is when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame two weeks ago in Los Angeles. But he did so anyway.

The Detroit rapper’s entry into the shrine will be featured on HBO’s broadcast of highlights from the 2022 ceremony, which debuts at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 and will also stream via HBO Max. Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers III) was voted in after appearing on the ballot for the first time and lit up the Microsoft Theatre stage with a performance that included “My Name Is,” “Rap God,” a cover of Drake’s “Forever” and “Not Afraid” as well as collaborations with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler on “Sing For the Moment” and Ed Sheeran on “Stand.”

Following an induction speech by his mentor Dr. Dre — who declared that “his gifts were undeniable” — Eminem told the audience that, “I realize what an honor it is right now for me to be up here tonight, and what a privilege it is to do the music that I love and the music that basically saved my life.” He also paid tribute to dozens of rap friends and influences, noting that, “I would not be here without them. I’m a high school dropout, man, with a hiphop education, and these were my teachers.”

In addition to Eminem, the ceremony also honored Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Judas Priest, Harry Belafonte and others and included an all-star jam on Parton’s “Jolene” and a tribute to the late Jerry Lee Lewis by Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp.
