Puff Cannabis gives away hundreds of turkeys for Thanksgiving

Several area families enjoyed a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving thanks to a Michigan cannabis chain which provided over a thousand free turkeys for the holiday.

Puff Cannabis founder Justin Elias said the chain gave away more than 1,700 turkeys in recent days through stores on Joseph Campau Avenue in Hamtramck, Ajax Dive in Madison Heights, and Van Dyke Avenue in Utica.

Elias said he thought about his childhood and the importance about family during the holidays in deciding on the turkey giveaway in the communities where Puff is located.

“Thanksgiving is the time for all families to come together, to celebrate and be thankful for what they have, but to also think about others who are less fortunate,” he said in a statement.

Turkeys were distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
